Best ghost hunting equipment for beginners?

I’m just getting started with ghost hunting and I’m overwhelmed by all the equipment options. What do you actually NEED vs what’s just expensive junk?

Start with a good digital voice recorder for EVPs, a basic EMF detector like the K-II meter, and a decent flashlight. Bring a notebook and document EVERYTHING.

Steve’s advice is solid. I’d add a good tripod for your camera and the best equipment is free: your own senses.
